It took you a while, but we’ve settled at last on our very own site.

This is the site where you find out things about the town that you never thought you ought to know.
Right, let’s get things going. The idea is that I will bring together all bits of information about the town that are generally difficult to find.
It will, of course, tend to be driven by my interests and information asked for by you.

It will be updated on a regular basis (unlike some others!), so persevere with me as I have to do this all myself, on my own, with no money - just a passion for the town!
I wouldn’t say no, if you wanted to support my work, see the normancutting.com site.

I seem to have got involved in several local matters, so now seems to be the time to bring them to your attention.
Firstly, the Hospital - better go here for more info. DHAG are organising a ‘reminder’ on Saturday 9th Jan 2010 about the birthing unit consultation which ends in February! Give me a ring on 871851 if you want to help and I will point you in the right direction!
Secondly, Luton airport - The air control mob are rethinking the new flight paths.
Thirdly, the Bridgewater Boats site - Lindy has set up a web site, where time is short and more information available. Latest on this is that the Berkhamsted Community Partnership are currently looking into turning it into a ‘learning’ centre.
Lastly, I’m somehow involved with the local access committee and the Dacorum Environmental Forum.

Anything else?

I looked out of my window and what did I see?  This is what I saw!

Berkhamsted Castle has been neglected for a few years, but we now have a Castle Liaison Group - see what they get up to by popping along to www.berkhamsted-castle.org.uk

Berkhamsted Access Committee now meets in the 1st floor meeting room (room 11) at the Civic Centre.
Next meeting was to be on the  25th June 2010 at 3pm, but postponed - will advise ASAP of new date

Look what I found on the ‘web’ - journey back to the early days - Version 2 and Version 3  (haven’t found 1 yet!)

(guess who has the odd column!)

One of the national newspaper groups has a series of ‘local’ web sites.
Why not have a look a www.berkhamstedpeople.co.uk and see what others are saying.
You could even contribute yourself!
